Expedition 12 days in the heart of the wild Indian Ocean

There are places in the world where an ordinary angler becomes an explorer. The north of Madagascar and the pristine Nosy Mitsio archipelago are exactly such places. It is a region where mass tourism doesn’t exist and the raw power of the ocean still rules beneath the surface.

Get ready for an expedition that combines uncompromising sport fishing with a complete escape from civilization.

Our base will be our fishing camp right on a pristine beach, where we’ll stay in traditional bungalows just a few steps from the sea. No resorts, no crowds – just you, our team, quality home-style dining, and an endless horizon full of predators.

In these waters we’ll target the legendary Giant Trevally (GT), brutally strong Dogtooth Tuna, fast Yellowfin Tuna, as well as Wahoo, Sailfish, marlin, barracuda, and tenacious snapper. Every cast can mean the fight you’ve waited for your whole life.

Day 1 - Arrival

Welcome at Nosy Be airport and transfer to Nosy Komba island. Accommodation at Veronika Resort, a welcome dinner, and preparation for the fishing mission.

Day 2 - Into the Wilderness

An expedition transfer by boat to the north, to the isolated Nosy Mitsio archipelago – the place where the real fishing expedition begins. Accommodation in our fishing camp and the first contact with untouched nature.

Days 3 - 7 - Fishing Frenzy (Nosy Mitsio)

Five days full of adrenaline. Popping, jigging, and trolling in top locations. We fish on reefs, drop-offs, and open waters. Evenings belong to grilled fish, cold beer, and discussions about the day’s biggest catches right under the stars.

Day 8 - Return to Veronika Resort

The last morning casts, a farewell to Mitsio, and the transfer back to Nosy Komba to Veronika Resort. Well-deserved relaxation and recovery.

Day 9 - Authentic Madagascar

A visit to the native village of Ampangorina, where we glimpse the simple yet fascinating world of the local people. No tourist facades, no pretense – the real Madagascar as most visitors will never come to know it.

Day 10 - Banc de Serpent – The Big Game

A full-day fishing trip to the legendary Banc de Serpent site. Here too we’ll have a real chance at a battle with Marlin, Giant Trevally, and other powerful pelagic fish.

Day 11 - Final Relaxation

A free day at Veronika Resort. Snorkeling, paddleboarding, or just relaxing by the infinity pool before the journey home.

Day 12 - Departure

One last tropical breakfast and transfer to the airport.
